The Coaching staff turned up today with high hopes of stealing the points against flemington juniors in a very even 1st Quarter, Glen Orden managed to string a couple of goals together and take a handy 1/4 lead. Unfortunately thats where it all stopped for some reason everything that was done so well in the 1st quarter went missing for the rest of the game. The boys seemed to lose all interest and flemington used it to their advantage kicking 13 goals to 2 after 1/4 time. There was no way flemington is a 10 goal better team but to their credit they gave our boys a lesson in playing as a team. Next week appears on paper as a very winnable game, but the boys attitudes need to imporve if we're going to serve it up to parkside at our home ground.

It was a relatively even 1st Quarter with Albions inaccurate kicking leaving the door wide open. 8 Scoring shots to 1 seen Albion take a 17 point quarter time lead. In the second qtr the floodgates opened as Albion pilled on 9 goals 4 points to Glen Ordens solitary point. At half time the coach asked for the bosy to show some pride in the sedon half. they responded with some good passages of play and were unlucky not to kick several more goals, although eventually outscored in the final term it was a much better effort that pleased the coaching staff and supporters. After a weeks break the boys face up to Flemington in what is likely to be a very even contest.

It was a game full of emotion with James Trussler lining up against his old side. After winning the toss and kicking with a slight breeze, we got off to a good start kicking an early major. Our inability to kick straight seen Point cook take a handy lead at 1/4 time. After a slow start to the 2nd quarter, the boys strated to click and piled on 4 goals to 2 to go in a half time only 5 points behind. Again in the 3rd quarter Point Cook had their kicking boots on taking a 17 point lead. However the matach was still very winnable at this stage. In the final term the boys managed to get within a kick before several undiscipline acts turned the tide. Finishing the game with 15 men capped of a disappointing end to a very winnable game. Again the injury tolls mounts with James Trussler being taken to hospital with a suspected broken elbow. On a positive note the improved performance of players such as chris, Joel, Josh, Kyle and Zac gave the coach something to look forward to in coming weeks.

For the 2nd week in a row the boys faced stiff opposition up against 2nd placed north sunshine. After a promising start things quickly turned sour when noodles was taken from the ground with a broken collar bone. North sunshines talls were difficult to match upon and their straight kicking seen them head into the half time break with a handy lead. A quiet third quarter seen glenorden unable to worry the sscoreer, whilst north sushine managed to pile on 6 goals. A 3/4 time shuffle of the team seen some players in unfamiliar positions. To their credit they managed to run the game out well, unlucky not to kick a couple of late goals. It was a day of injuries with several players likely to miss games in the coming weeks. It now time for some others to step up in their absence. next week the boys are home taking on Point Cook.
Final Score: Glen Orden 4.4-28 def by North Sunshine 24.16-160

The boys were set a big challenge against top of the ladder side werribee. From the outset werribee controlled the game, running in numbers and sharing the ball. Some skill errors resulted in turnovers that gave werribee several shots on goal, at half time the boys trailed by 59 points. To their credit they regrouped and hit the ground running in the 3rd quarter. Kicking 2 goals, but werribee bounced back with 5 of their own. Unfortunately werribee ran out big winners 156 to 27. The focus now turns to an improved performance against North Sunshine.

Best Players: Tyson Szkudlarski, Corey Edwards, Trent Stemm, Hayden Middlebrook, Chris Gribben & Alex Nhien
After a slow start the boys went in at quarter time trailing. the second quarter seen a gret improved effort, sharing the ball kicking 5 goals to 2, to go into the main break with their noses in front. Parksides run in the 3rd quarter seen them hit back, outscoring Glenorden 4 golas to 1 to take a handy lead at 3/4 time. It was a very even final term with both sides kicking 2 goals. Unfortunatly time and a couple of key injuries to Glen Orden's talls made it difficult to finish on what was otherwise a good all round team effort.
