Sunday 15th July 2007 Glenorden 16.15 111 def Sunshine 8.8 56

With finals approaching a good win in the last game of home and away was important. The first quarter started with both sides having a lot of run with GO having a slight lead at the first change. The boys started the second a bit slow and Sunshine was pushing us up to the point were that hit the lead but we managed to go in at half time a goal up. After a few quite words at the half time break the GO boys were full of fire in the 3rd blowing Sunshine out of the water going in at 3 quarter 7 goals up. The last Quarter of the home and away season and with the game won we tried a few changes letting a couple people play in different positions winning the game by 9 goals.

Sunday 15th July 2007 Glen Orden 5.6 36 def by Werribee Juniors 10.13 73
The first quarter started with a lot of run and some very hard football from the Glenorden Boy, giving us the lead at quarter time.
In the second quarter we continued to run and be very hard at the ball, for about the first 10-12 minutes with a few of the boys slowing down. Werribee managed to go in at half time 6 points up. After a good rest at half time and everyone keen to have a good third quarter, Werribee came out full of run, leaving Glenorden chasing some serious butt! 3/4 time saw us down by 7 goals. Asking for the boys to dig deep at 3/4 time break and fight the last quater out to the end, that's what they did. But we finally went down by 37 points. As we come down to the last home and away game of the season, please ask all your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, dogs, cats etc to come down to our last home game and give you and your team support before going into the finals.
Goal Kickers Milan (1), Brad (1), Trent (1) Joel (1) and Hayden (1).

PS - Remember getting beaten by a better side is one thing getting beaten by being lazy is letting your team mates down. The Coach

Sunday 8th July 2007 Glen Orden 36.17 233 def Deer Park 3.5 23

Off to Deer Park we traveled. After finding out Deer Park didn’t have a full side, we had a team meeting and 4 of our players were willing to give Deer Park a helping hand and play for them giving them a team of 17 players and leaving 1 on the bench for us.  A special thanks to you 4 guys. The game began and Milan was on fire Kicking 5 goals in the first quarter to give us a 66 point lead. By half time we were 110 points in front and goals were coming from everywhere. At the end of the third quarter the margin was 150 point, but credit to Deer Park they kept on trying. At the final siren we were 210 points in front. – Well done

Being around the club for the past 7 years and seeing our Juniors get some pretty large defeats.  It is nice to be on the winning side for a change and watching the hard work done by all. As for Deer Park it was great to see the game played in the spirit it was. Glenorden our work starts NOW as we have a couple of hard games ahead, before hopefully playing off in the final series. Just remember make excuses why we can not why we cant!!!

What more can I say with 16 out of 19 Goal Kickers for the game Milan (8), Trent (7), Joel (5), Rod (3), Beau (3), Noodles (2), Macca (1), Rory (1), Brad (1), Cajetan (1), Tyson (1), Anthony (1), Nick (1) and Zack (1)

P.S THANKS FOR THROWING ME IN THE MUD AND I HOPE THAT YOU ALL ENJOY RUNNNNNNNING....THE COACH (Yob)

Sunday 1st July 2007Glenorden had a BYE

Sunday 24th June 2007Glenorden 9.6 60 lost to. Point Cook 14.7 91

With 4 games to go and needing to win 2 of the last 4 games to make finals it was going to be a good game. After making a slow start in the first quater we started to play some good footy. The second quarter seen an up and down quarter with both side's kicking 3 goals. After a few words at half time the boys again come out and played some great football, but Point Cook kept it up to us. Going into the last we were able to get the score back 8 points until Point Cook again kicked away to win by 31 points. With a bye next round we must win 2 out of the last 3 games! Which I think with the way everyone is starting to play, WE can make the finals, but it all comes back to us as a group thinking that we can, that we can keep it all up! good work boys

Sunday 17th June 2007Albion 11.22 88 def. Glenorden 7.5 47

Off to Albion we went for the clash of 3rd vs. 4th.After losing the toss and kicking against a slight breeze we once again got off to a good start and at quarter time we were 4 goals up.With the breeze now blowing more across the ground we set off to improve our score in the second but Albion had a different idea and at 1/2 time our lead was cut back to 6 points. With the 3rd quarter starting and the rain starting to come down the boys were finding the ball hard in picking it up but they kept trying and at the end of 3rd we were 25 points down.Going into the last with nothing to lose everyone gave it there best as they had all day but in the end Albion was just too good and we end up going down by 41 points. To all who played on Sunday the effort was one of the best I have seen this year even if we didn't end up with the points so lets all keep pushing in the same direction and the rewards will came. Some outstandefforts for the day. Brad Miller with his best game of the year, Noodles up forward kicking 4 and Jacob Mushie Biggy and N.Wallace down back.
