7th October 2006: Glen Orden lost to Melton South by 5 Wickets For the first game of the season Melbourne put on a beautiful sunny day. The game was played at home. The team was made up of mainly juniors, as most of the seniors are away on the end of season football trip.

Overview of the Game: Glen Orden won the toss and decided to bat. The batting opened with Frithy and Young Justin Philby. The boys started the innings with a strong display. Bryce Daniels came in next and was very steady, the score kept ticking over.. After 14 overs we were 5 for 55 with Bryce still holding his own. At the end of our inning's the score was 69. Good effort by all the young kids. As we took the field, our first over resulted in a quick wicket. The young boys tried all day, but we came up short.
