This week against spotswood was always going to be hard, especially with the seniors losing 6 of their players, and the reserves using under 18's, super rules players and 3 unkowns!! First quarter we tried hard but spotty where too quick and kicked 6 unanswered goals. Second quarter saw us respond and we were competitive scoring a goal. Third quarter the boys were having a dip, which seen us attacking more. Last quarter everybody finished the game out in a spirited manner. We were undermanned with 14 players out and had a fair dinkum crack. Thanks to everybody who filled in, hold your heads high and be PROUD! Egga

2nd June 2007 Glen Orden 7.8 50 lost to Altona 9.12 66
26th May 2007: Glen Orden 3.2 20 lost to Port Colts 28.18 186
19th May 2007: Glen Orden 8.9 57 def Parkside 3.11 29
Before this game I told the boys that today I wanted them to win this game for themselves. We Started ok but we just couldn't convert and at half time we were just in front. I told the boys at half time that we had 90% of the play and it was up to them to lift. The third quarter saw us convert and lead by 3 goals, but I didn't think it was enough! The last quarter the boys dominated but couldn't deliver the killer punch. Well done boys, a win is a win, but don't rest on your laurels.

12th May 2007: Glen Orden 2.4 16 lost to Hoppers 26.14 170
This was always going to be a danger game as Hoppers are on top and playing good footy. The first quarter seen us blown out of the water with Hoppers kicking 11 unanswered goals But at quarter time I told them not to panic and stick to the game plan, as we should HAVE from the start. As a result of this we actually won the second quarter. (Mental problem) The Second half was good and we were very competitive. We have to start to believe in ourselves and play 4 quarters of football (Fitness much better this week boys) Lets stick together Egga
5th May 2007: Glen Orden 10.8 68 lost to Albion 16.11 107
The boys started the first quarter with a bang and scores were even at quarter time. The second quarter saw us play some good footy, but bad kicking let us down inside the 50. At half time the scores were Albion 7.3 Glen Orden 4.9 Once again we lapsed in the third quarter to see Albion leading by 5 Golas. FITNESS is a BIG problem!!! We fought the last quarter out with us outscoring Albion 10.12 to 16.6 A good efoort but there is still room for imporvement. Hoppers this week away, what a great test this will be!!! Egga
28th April 2007:
Before this game the reserves are sitting 0 - 2 losses, but this is no reflection on the way the boys are performing!
The first 2 quarters this week were fantastsic and we went in at half time level. The third quarter seen us fall away, mainly due to fitness (Get to training Boys!) After a 3/4 time positive talk the boys finished the game running hard and outscoring the opposition. A great effort under the circumstances, with some gutsy performances.
Until next time signing off Egga
14th April 2007 : Glen Orden 5.3 33 lost to Seddon/Yarraville 11.18 84
The Reserves first game in Division 1 was always going to be a tough encounter. Personally I thought they conducted themselves in a very professional and workman like way. We started off a bit slow but our commitment towards each other 14-Jan-2008 5:11 PMunning in numbers which resulted in goals. Seddon/Yarraville converted more than us in the third but the boys ran the game out with their heads held high!We lost by 8 goals but the scoreboard was no reflection on the game, as we came out with a lot of positive vibes.
Well Done boys Egga is very PROUD of your efforts!
Signing off for now Egga.
